I am proud to be an American
and was born in Greenville.
When I heard about the terrorist attack on our homeland and saw the horrible
destruction on TV, I went out to my flagpole and lowered my flag to half mast. The next
morning was bright and beautiful as though nothing had happened. (Here, that is.) It still
waved over us.I took this
picture of it still waving proudly, but at half mast. I added the words that immediately
came to my mind.
