My wife and I moved to Greenville last year from Economy Borough,
Beaver County. Although we are happy and proud to live in
Greenville, we are amazed at the contrast between the way folks here
maintain their properties. While most homes are well taken care of
and reflect a lot of pride by their owners, there are some that are,
to be blunt, "messes." We need to take some sort of action to
restore pride in our fabulous and unique town, in conjunction with
the improvements to be made to the business district this fall.

Hi all. I have lived in Greenville since 94. I in my own perspective
like Greenville to a point but the only thing is there is nothing to
do in town for us young people. I am 24 and I have not seen any
thing fun to do since I have lived here. The only good thing to do
is walk around Wal-Mart or hang out with friends at various places
but the cops keep Telling us to find another hang out, We aren't
bothering no one so DON'T BOTHER US! Any way the town need some help
with the roads and The gas prices need to go down to $1.50 lol. We
need to make the downtown area Nicer for christmas Like a Christmas
tree in central Park might be nice and some more christmas lites,
decorations and maybe some snow on christmas LOL but this town is a
nice place to live.
Friends, Everything is mostly in walking distance :)

It's a good thing to have a
place for people to get in touch with others who grew up and lived
in or around. I went to school in greenville at different times
during my childhood, grade school and the last time must have been
in 1975 in 9th grade, bouncing back and forth from parents. I
graduated in 1979 in a different school. I left Pa and traveled for
17 years when I returned in 1980 I was met a girl whose name was
maryann but I just can't seem to remember her last name, I would
like to say hello to her and others who were my friends then and who
I hung out with.. scott schaffer! hello you bum! where are you ?
Troy donahue and his family, Deniese hello! and so many others. Some
that I met that were worthless then and I would have to assume still
are, but you'l have that in life.. I really miss that era of my life
I had a great time in greenville and like others those majestic
chili dogs and beer I can still remember well!. Lots of good parties
then with alot of good people.
If any of my friends remember Tim Panko feel free to get a hold of
me. My contact info can be found in the Find-A-Friend List. I
am looking for a journeyman carpenter also.
Thank you for making and maintaining this site for us.

Hello Greenville-ites My mom, Janice
M. Kelly was born in Greenville and lived most of her life on Union
St. We lost her on Thanksgiving of this year and the loss will be
tremendous, not only to her family, but to everyone that she came in
contact with. Our relatives still live in town and us city slickers
just think the world of them. Greenville will forever be home to me
and will always be known as the most peaceful place to visit, which
I will do often in my mom's memory.

Greenville, clean up your act...The town looks so sad and depressed.
Like anything, a new coat of paint might make things looks a little
brighter... I graduated from Greenville High school in 1968. I can
honestly say, the looks of the town have done nothing but go down
hill ever since. Sad, but true...

How is everyone in Greenville this year? I do miss the forum that
use to go with this site, I bet if it were left up just a bit longer
it would have taken off. I would just like to say that I use to live
there in Greenville, but have moved on to New York State. Greenville
was a unique little town, but the economy really needs a boost. I
would have stayed, but with no car and the jobs too far, I had to
leave. -- John Smyak

Hi Everybody: This was great to see. I was born and raised in
Greenville.Memories will always be with me of the friends and family
I had there. Went to school from 1'st grade through 12'th with the
same wonderful bunch of kids. Most people don't have that type of
experience in their lives. So sad to see the town has gone through
such difficult times. But I know the heart of the people there still
lives on. Have been back a few times since moving with my wife to
Texas in 1979. Live just outside of Houston. Would love to hear from
anyone in Greenville who might remember me from the class of 1969.My
address is on the find-a friend list on the website.

For most of us that grew up in greenville in the 60s and 70s it was
the best, and could not ask for a better place to be.What sticks in
my mind is cruzing up and down main street in our hot rods and going
by greenville diner to see who was their, and maybe a good race out
on the hadley rd. So as many of us we have moved on and got older but
we still will never forget the good old days. Larry Bartholomew.

Jarrett Johnson here - GHS Class of 1989 and SRU 1994. I now live in
Fort Lauderdale, FL. I visit 3-4 times per year. Greenville will
always be my home and close to my heart. I very much enjoy returning
home and visiting with my friends and family. I usually plan my
trips around deer and trout seasons. I grew up fishing the Little
Shenango. When I pull into town, I usually play a little game to
myself. I won't go to the house until I drive through town and see
someone I know. It doesn't usually take too long. My childhood in
Greenville was great and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Take care
my fellow Greenville denizens and see you in trout season.

I have lived in Charleston, South Carolina area since shortly after
graduating from RHS in 1978. In recent visits, my husband (and I)
have come to love the area. He especially loves the Amish element
and the numerous covered bridges in Mercer and Lawrence counties. (I
was sure to show him!) And you have four seasons! Most of you who
have never left, fail to realize what a truly beautiful area you
live in. It's so unfortunate that the area lacks in economic
opportunity which is why I left. I am also saddened by how few
people I see and recognize when I visit. Maybe, that will change.
So, if you think you recognize an old classmate on the street, speak
up! They might be a "visitor" now, who would love to chat with old
friends. Bye, ya'll.Comments:
